The Land Of A Thousand Microphones!

I think it's safe to say that there were somewhere close to 20 mics on my drum kit at all times during the process, including multiple snare, kick, and oddly placed room mics. For a 9 x 6 room, that kind of coverage ain't to shabby. My favorite microphone that David used was an old square one from a portable reel-to-reel that was set on the bass drum. Gave the drum a blown out, but warm tone that was super unique.
